I have an 80′s ATV w/ bad motor that has been sitting for almost a decade. I also have a 6.5hp honda motor from a power washer. Is it possible to mate the two together? I don’t care about performance. Has anyone done this or know a link to a web site?
To be honest you probably can’t get a clutch for the engine that matches the chain for the ATV. Now with a little fabrication anything can be done. My suggestion would be to either trade the Honda for parts or cash to fix the ATV engine. Parts should still be available but most likely you will have to dig for them. If you can find a clutch for your Honda, you could change the sprocket on the ATV to match it. But you would most likely be changing the sprocket hub as well. You would need axle diameter and the shaft diameter on the Honda to go this route. There are a couple of good sites for this online.
